Being Content
I’ve had some time to dwell on some of the pressing issues in my personal life right now. In the past, I’ve been a deep thinker and I’ve thought on many issues. You can read many of my vocal opinions on this blog. There has been one issues that I’ve been terribly wrong about though: Being content with life will equate with peace, harmony and happiness. I used to firmly...

Square One to Infinity
To my dear friend, I have read your words and I find myself in crossroads. The limit on our minds is endless, and I have always instigated a deeper conviction to utilizing the open unexplored paths. However, in exploring these pathways, I have loosely believed that we were uncovering clarity. We did find clairty, but what we failed to realize is that clarity is anything but. In this, I...

Anti-Gay Marriage Prop 8 REJECTED!!! →
FTA:  California’s voter-approved ban on same-sex marriage violates the U.S. Constitution, a federal appeals court in San Francisco ruled Tuesday. In a split decision, a three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals found the state’s Proposition 8 “works a meaningful harm to gays and lesbians” by denying their right to civil marriage in violation of the 14th...

REAL FOOD!!!!!
After etd Love, I decided I was super hungry. I made my way to a McDonalds to see if I could put some food in my tummy. I ordered fries because I figured that would be soft enough to chew. Then I got real hungry. And I added a McChicken to my order. I munched on the fries on my way home and it seemed alright! can’t chew with my front teeth yet, but a few teeth are okay! Thus I just spent...

Wisdom Teeth
01.19.2012 07:00AM This is my usual time of waking up. However, I didn’t have to be at work at 8AM today. Instead, I was getting my wisdom teeth pulled at 9AM. 09:00AM The dentists are prepping getting things ready ??:??AM We get started. The surgeon and I chit chat a bit. He went to dental school AND med school at UCSF and specialized in plastic surgery in the face and neck areas; and...

iPhone's True Cost →
The next time you pick up your iPhone, or any other material good, just think about the blood and sweat that came from it.  I personally know some people who are addicted to their personal electronics. This is the American way: to be materially addicted AND to be ignorant of the origin of product - especially when it’s been outsourced to lower labor costs. I can’t help but to...

Saving Jack Chin
I’m not great at articulating the things I want to say, but I hope this time the message comes out clear. Often times we really do take our lives for granted and we imagine that those terrible things that happen on TV, only happen on TV. It’s not until you’re affected that you start taking action and really evaluating your life. Nobody said it was going to be easy, but nobody...

Mitt Romney's View on Income Equality
In his bid as a presidential candidate, Mitt Romney has revealed that he believes income inequality is pretty much just envy. He believes that the poor and the middle class are envious of the rich, and supports the income inequality. Why? Because this income inequality show that we are a nation that is merit-based and not entitlement-based.  I’m conflicted. I believe many of the rich have...

Top 5 Regrets from the Deathbed →
A nurse lists the top 5 regrets she hears from people who will die: 1. I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me. 2. I wish I didn’t work so hard. 3. I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings. 4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends. 5. I wish that I had let myself be happier. ...

A Little Sadness, alot.
I’ve recently been surrounded with some sadness. I’d like to share them with you to kind of get the heaviness off my chest. 1. I couldn’t find my wallet. This is probably the least sad of everything, but driving around without a drivers license, no cash, no credit, no ID; nothing. It makes life kind of difficult. It was more frustrating that I couldn’t find it, despite the...

Single Barrel
I went to Single Barrel last night with Viv. We got to the unmarked entrance and we were given directions on how to behave downstairs. The bartenders were a little busy so we had to wait upstairs until they were free. We were sent down, and our bartender was finishing up with other customers. Aaron from TW/SD came over and was like KAJE! and I was like woah! whatsup. Anyway, I said hi, and tended...

Athiests vs Religion →
In this, the religious are wrong. 1. There was a random drawing for spaces. 2. The Atheists followed all rules and ended up with the most spaces. 3. The religious complain that they should be above the rules. 4. Wait. what? Jameson, the Nativity scene committee chairman, said the church groups are upset that the atheists don’t live in Santa Monica, though Vix said he has worked there and...

Gay Marriages Post Summary
I’m not sure if I got my message across correctly. The options we have are: Door 1. Keep it the same as now. Only allow marriages as defined by religion, to receive special governmental treatment. Anybody who doesn’t believe in that religion, yet loves another person, is considered a second class American and should not receive full rights and benefits. Door 2. Redefine marriage to...

Why are gay marriages still a problem?
The idea of this post has been reiterated many times and this is not an original post at all. I’ve just been sick of the Republican presidential candidates talking about it. Here’s my take on it. The biggest issue here is that religion and government have intertwined. Let’s define marriage: 1. Marriage, in religious terms, are defined by a union between a man and a woman....

Dreamers VS Realists
“There are dreamers, and there are realists in this world. You would think the dreamers would find the dreamers, and the realists would find the realists, but more often than not, the opposite is true. You see, the dreamers need a realist to keep them from getting too close to the sun, and the realists? Well, without the dreamers, they might not ever get off the ground.” - 11/23/11...

Thoughts On UC Davis Pepper Spray
This post discusses the recent incident of police brutality at UC Davis. I am quite amused at all the people who are supporting the immediate resignation of the Chancellor of UC Davis because she requested that the protestors disband due to safety and health reasons. I’m not 100% sure how I feel about the whole incident yet, mainly because nobody will ever know the whole story to anything....

Cupertino - Rolling Blackout
Today, there was a rolling blackout in Cupertino. I also learned what a rolling blackout is. From the very handy-dandy wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rolling_blackout 1. It  is an intentionally-engineered electrical power outage where electricity delivery is stopped for non-overlapping periods of time over geographical regions. They did it on purpose. 2. They are usually in response to a...

Amazon & Taxes
Amazon is by far my favourite place to shop. Not only can I practice tax evasion by not paying Use Tax, free two day shipping and a huge selection of things are big pluses. Amazon has recently settled with California to start collecting sales tax in September of 2012.  Internet tax will come eventually, but the question is, should I switch to another vendor who will provide me tax free goods...
