12.28.11
Alamere Falls.
06:30AM My alarm goes off, I snooze it.
06:35AM My alarm goes off again, I wake up and start prepping. Getting camera gear ready and figuring out what to bring.
06:55AM I am at Steph’s house, waiting to pick her and her sister up.
07:05AM At Eric’s house now, waiting for him to come out.
07:10AM Eric comes out and we pile into his car.
07:15AM We go to Safeway to get breakfast and lunch sandwiches.
07:30AM We’re on our way to Palomarin, Point Reyes in Bolinas, CA.
09:15AM We realize we took the wrong route because google maps has a differing route and the end locations are at different places. We map out the correct place and make our way there.
10:00AM We arrive at our destination and begin our journey
Almost immediately in, we see the ocean side and it’s beautiful. The weather is perfect for a hike.
01:00PM We arrive at the waterfalls and the beach side which was just such a gorgeous scene. See pictures…
02:00PM We eat our packed lunches.
04:00PM we arrive at our car and begin our ride home. Everybody is exhausted.
05:30PM We arrive home.
The hike was awesome but extremely tiring. Maybe I’m just out of shape! It was soooo pretty! :)

Continuing the day in SF (10.08.11 - from previous post),
We yelped this place and decided to give it a try. The Codmother… before we looked it up, Ehna was thinking, “Codfather” which would have been pretty funny and awesome at the same time. Anyway, the food was excellent. Spicy is a good spicy and the fish is cooked perfectly! Got fish tacos and fish n chips.
After, we headed back to the apartment to rest, and then took the BART to another stop to get something “-ite” ice cream… which is supposedly really good, but I wasn’t hungry.
I had a slight headache, but we went to a house party and went to socialize. Met some people but only remember a few names. Chatted with Stephanie for a good amount of the night :) and then we bounced, me andrew and ehna. We went to visit ehna’s other friends who were in an empty club that charges a 20$ cover. Forget that. We skipped and went to get late night mexican which was yummy. enha recognized some other people at the late night place and they were kind enough to give us a ride back to the apartment. end of night, passed out and slept.
Sunday (10.09.2011), we had indian food (no pictures! sorry) for lunch then drove home. they blocked off 101 entrance just as we were about to get on. Bunch of cops blocked off the area cuz of some crime supposedly. anyway, we found our way to 280 and made it home. I went straight to a study session for my midterm on monday (which I passed 91%! :) )
k that is all for now.

PS. I absolutely love the cup above. I really do.
I hope to do a post on this weekend. It was very eventful! However, I don’t have time now, maybe Tuesday I’ll have time to finish the rest of the pictures of this weekend and get a post up.
Anyway, I leave you with my pictures of the Blue Angels in SF on Saturday. And some additional info from wiki:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Angels
1.The United States Navy’s Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, popularly known as the Blue Angels, was formed in 1946 and is currently the oldest formal flying aerobatic team. The squadron’s six demonstration pilots currently fly the F/A-18 Hornet in more than 70 shows at 34 locations throughout the United States each year.
2. During its history, 26 Blue Angels pilots have been killed in air show or training accidents.Through the 2006 season there have been 262 pilots in the squadron’s history, giving the job a 10% fatality rate.
3. The mission of the Blue Angels is to enhance Navy and Marine Corps recruiting, and credibly represent Navy and Marine Corps aviation to the United States and its Armed Forces.
4. During the aerobatic demonstration, the Blue Angels operate six F/A-18 Hornet aircraft, split into the Diamond (Blue Angels 1 through 4) and the Lead and Opposing Solos (Blue Angels 5 and 6). Most of the show alternates between maneuvers performed by the Diamond and those performed by the Solos. The Diamond, in tight formation and usually at lower speeds, performs maneuvers such as formation loops, barrel rolls, and transitions from one formation to another.
5. The Blue Angels do not wear G-suits, because the air bladders inside them would repeatedly deflate and inflate, interfering with the control stick between the pilot’s legs.Instead, Blue Angel pilots tense their stomach muscles and legs to prevent blood from rushing from their heads and rendering them unconscious.

We made our way to dinner without any car trouble.
The restaurant is Peruvian and the food was all quite new to us. We had a bottle of wine to accompany dinner. I don’t remember the name of the foods, but they were delicious. We somehow had a great discussion over dinner, just talking about so many random things.
Next up, DIVE BARS! Time was a little bit short because Jane needed to go home soon, so we made our way to the first bar, which was alright, but we didn’t stay. The second bar we made our way to was Wild West? and they allowed for dogs. Anyway, we ordered a shot of jager and some other drinks and we talked and had a good great time! The bars around here are actually gay bars, but we didn’t tell John and Jackie. Two guys dressed up in full costume (as women / other interesting apparel) entered the bar and Jane wanted a picture with them. I hope we didn’t offend them, but Jane asked if they were dressed up for a festival or something. They said, no honey, this is who we are! I was thinking, sigh, Jane -__-., this is SF! this is a norm.
Anyway, we talked and talked and then finally called it a night. Taking 101-s, Jane was like, oh 85 south! and I was like what? and then I passed it, and shes like oh. you just missed it, oh you’re taking John and Jackie home first! and then it hit me that she was the one who needed to be home first! I apologized profusely and she said its okay, take them home first. I quickly took John and Jackie home first (they were on the way), and then I rushed over to Jane’s house to take her home.
Got home around 11:30pm.
What a weekend!

Well on the way back to the arcade, we passed by a bird eating from a bread bowl… so I took a picture!
Our next stop: Buena Vista Cafe for original Irish Coffee!
BUT, on the way, we stopped to see a magician, the bush man, the spray paint artist, and the silver robot guy.
We got to the cafe and there was communal seating. We sat down with 2 ladies, one from east coast one from LA. We enjoyed some coffee + whiskey, and discussed work. >_<;; The coffee was slightly bitter from the alcohol, but overall, not too bad! Usually coffee + alcohol = baileys, but the whiskey + coffee was interestingly alright. The place was packed btw!
Squeezing out, we find out way to Ghirardelli Square. There was some live music and we had a banana split. delicious! well, kinda sweet. too sweet. We were all a little bit tired, and Jane had to head home a little early, so we decided to head over to the dinner area. We went back to the car, and made our way to Lombard Street! you know, the super curvy street, ugh, we had to wait in line on a hill! Jackie is really afraid of those super steep hills, and so I tried really hard to stay in gear so that I wouldn’t have to roll back. Well, at the top of the hill, I burned out my clutch… FAIL. my engine area was smoking and it was smelling really bad. We made it down the hill no problem, then we pulled over and let the car air out and check to see if there were problems. Jane took pictures while I popped the hood to check it out. A stranger walked by and said it might be because of the radiator or fans, but they worked. Another stranger said, that burning smell was my breaks, but they took worked fine. So we proceeded with caution.

Sunday 09/08/2011
I woke up pretty excited despite the fact that I got home a bit late and worked the whole day before. I got ready and headed out… but I was so hungry. Yesterday, the food at the event was extremely over priced so I didn’t eat. I didn’t wake up early enough for breakfast, and we were getting lunch in SF.
First stop, Jane’s house. I made my way over and picked her up. While waiting for her to come out, I called John to let him know I was about to head to his place soon. Jane comes out dressed extremely warm, full on with a jacket, long pants and boots!
Second stop, John’s house. Over the drive to John’s, we discussed social implications of some things that society finds taboo. We talked about philosophy and life, and of course, the rave. We get to John’s house and John and Jackie get in the car in under a minute and we’re off too SF!
San Fran. The drive was surely interesting as John asked about American phrases vs British and Kiwi phrases. One phrase he asked was “Radio”, but not “radio”. At first I thought he was saying “right on you, mate” (but today (thursday), I found out he really meant, “righty-oh”).
In SF, the first thing we looked for was parking! We drove a while and finally settled on a parking garage near fisherman’s warf (for 25 dollars! RAWR!). First thing we do there is find a place to eat. At the street food area, we found a place, sat down and ordered: 2 Crabs, one spicy garlic and butter, one regular steamed, Boston clam chowder in a bread bowl, and shrimp penne, oh, and some beers (2 stella, 1 sapporo). Food was delicious! yum. We just talked and had a good time.
We then walked toward the pier and saw the antique arcade museum and browsed around there. Jane tried an old school massage chair, Jackie invested a quarter into a dancing show, Jane also got a fortune thingy. There was a funny mirror that we took a picture (see above).
The back exit lead to, well, the back. ha. and there were some memorials. Submarines, and torpedoes. We walked around to look and take pictures, then we headed back toward the warf.

After work, I had to take somebody to the airport to also discuss future plans. Things I hope will end up well - hopefully. We’ll see. I rushed home to gather all my photo equipment and Andrew picked me up and we were off to SF!
I am currently the person in charge of digital media for Soul Krush Entertainment*. We got to SF at about 8:40ish and we began taking test shots and setting up. People started coming around 10pm. Right before the event starts though, Andrew lost a contact lens and we couldn’t find it. T_T. He pushed through though and ended up taking a lot of great shots. The guest artist from Korea: DJ KOO! He was amazing and brought so much energy to the stage! He also had really cool headphones.
Got home around 3:30AM.

Don’t really care much for this sport, but I guess yay? Still don’t care that much, but here’s 10 interesting facts for people like me who don’t know anything about baseball:
1. Started out in NY as the New York Gothams (1883-85), then became New York Giants (1885-1957), moved to CA in 1957 to become SF Giants.

3. Last won the World Series in 1954.
4. In 1992, the team was instead sold to an ownership group including managing general partner Peter Magowan, the former CEO of Safeway, Harmon Burns, and his wife, Sue, when following the 1989 World Series defeat to the Oakland A’s, a local ballot initiative to fund a new stadium in San Francisco failed.
